Sameer Ahmed was raised in the UAE and studied filmmaking at the Pune Film Institute, India. After moving to Dhaka, he began his career as an assistant director and later founded Gao Productions in 2004. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Film and Television at Jagannath University and a National Award-winning editor for Guerrilla and Lal Moroger Jhuti.
